  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar Sweetens the cookies.
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar Adds moisture and caramel flavor.
  • 1 large egg Binds the ingredients.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Provides aromatic sweetness.

Mix-ins

  • 1 cup white chocolate chips Offers creamy melt-in-your-mouth goodness.
  • 1 cup chopped Oreos Adds crunchy texture and fun.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  • In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat the cream cheese over medium-high speed until creamy and smooth.
  • Add the softened butter and beat until nicely combined and creamy.
  • Add the granulated sugar and brown sugar and beat until smooth and creamy for about 2 minutes.
  • Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until combined.

Combining Ingredients

  • With the mixer on low speed, gradually add the flour mixture to the cream cheese mixture and mix until thoroughly combined.
  • Mix in the white chocolate chips using a spatula, then gently fold in the chopped Oreos until evenly distributed.

Chilling and Baking

  • Wrap the cookie dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 2 hours or up to 4 days.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Scoop about 1 ½ heaping tablespoons of cookie dough per cookie onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 3 inches apart.
  • Bake for 12–13 minutes or until the edges are lightly browned and the centers look very soft.
  • Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For best results, use full-fat cream cheese and soften ingredients to room temperature. Don't skip the chilling step to keep cookies from spreading. Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature.
