Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients and tools to create a smooth workflow.
  • Lay down two sheets of parchment paper on a flat surface.
  • Prepare your gel food coloring in small bowls, selecting your favorite colors.
  • Set the clear glue aside, ready for mixing with your coloring.
  • Involve your kids by letting them choose the colors for a personal touch.

Cook/Assemble

  • Combine equal parts clear glue and the chosen gel food coloring in a bowl.
  • Using the flower cutters, press them onto the parchment paper.
  • Pour the colored glue mixture into each shaped cutter, filling to the edges.
  • Press in natural decorations like leaves or seeds on top of the colored glue.
  • Allow the creations to dry for at least 24 hours at room temperature.

Serve

  • Once fully dried, gently peel the suncatchers from the parchment paper.
  • Display them in windows to catch sunlight.
  • Optionally, add string or ribbon for hanging.

Notes

Use a toothpick for neat glue application. Less food coloring yields pastel shades. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
