Ingredients

Flavoring

Coating

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Chop the chocolate into small pieces.
  • Measure out the heavy cream, orange zest, and orange extract.
  • Set up a double boiler with simmering water and a heatproof bowl.

Cooking

  • Melt the chopped chocolate in the double boiler, stirring until fully melted.
  • Gradually add the heavy cream while stirring to create a smooth ganache.
  • Mix in the orange zest and orange extract until well combined.

Assembly

  • Chill the ganache in the fridge for about an hour until firm enough to scoop.
  • Scoop and roll the mixture into small balls.
  • Coat each truffle in cocoa powder or chopped nuts.
  • Serve immediately or refrigerate until serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. Freeze for up to 3 months, separating layers with parchment paper. For an extra creamy texture, consider adding a splash of coconut or almond milk to the ganache.
