Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  • In a medium bowl, melt the butter and mix in both sugars until well combined.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, stirring well after each addition, then mix in the vanilla.

Cooking

  • In another bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish, smoothing it into an even layer.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

Serving

  • Remove the brownies from the oven and let them cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes.
  • Transfer them to a wire rack and allow to cool completely before slicing into squares.
  • Serve as is or with your favorite garnish for an extra touch!
