For the Caramel Sauce

For the Frosting

  • 1/4 cup chilled browned butter Creamy base.
  • 8 oz cold cream cheese Forms the frosting.
  • 1 cup powdered sugar Creates a smooth frosting.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Melt the butter in a pot over medium heat until browned and nutty; chill portions for frosting and crust.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Pulse graham crackers, melted brown butter, and light brown sugar, then press into a baking pan and bake for 10 minutes.

Make the Cheesecake Filling

  • Heat half and half and steep the chai teabags; let cool completely.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, light brown sugar, and cornstarch, then add cooled chai mix, spices, and eggs, mixing until smooth.

Baking and Assembling

  • Pour the cheesecake mixture over the crust and bake for 42-45 minutes, until set but slightly jiggly.
  • Cool at room temperature for 30 minutes, then refrigerate for at least 6 hours to set.
  • Simmer unsalted butter and brown sugar in a saucepan, then add heavy cream and cool.
  • Mix chilled browned butter with cold cream cheese for frosting and add powdered sugar until creamy.
  • Frost chilled cheesecake with cream cheese mixture, drizzle with caramel sauce, and slice into bars.

Notes

For best results, ensure cream cheese is at room temperature before mixing. Browning butter requires attention to avoid burning. Garnish with chai spice or edible flowers for an elegant touch.
