Toppings

  • 1 cup Pizza sauce Savory layer that brings all toppings together.
  • 2 cups Shredded mozzarella cheese A must-have on pizza.

Instructions
 

Phase 1 – Prep

  • Gather all ingredients and preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 packet of instant yeast, 1 teaspoon of sugar, and 1 teaspoon of salt.
  • Pour in 3/4 cup of warm water and 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
  • Mix until a dough forms; knead on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Phase 2 – Cook/Assemble

  • Grease your cast iron skillet with olive oil.
  • Press the dough into the hot skillet, stretching it to cover the bottom and sides.
  • Spread 1 cup of pizza sauce evenly over the dough.
  • Sprinkle 2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese generously on top.
  • Add your choice of toppings, arranging them to ensure even coverage.
  • Place the skillet in the preheated oven and bake for 18–20 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.

Phase 3 – Serve

  • Once baked, remove the skillet from the oven and let the pizza cool for a few minutes.
  • Slice into wedges and serve hot, enjoying that fresh-out-of-the-oven goodness.

Notes

For a gluten-free version, substitute all-purpose flour with a 1:1 gluten-free baking blend. Experiment with different cheeses for added flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat in the oven.
