Ganache Topping

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease or line a baking dish with parchment paper.
  • Melt unsalted butter and unsweetened chocolate over low heat until smooth.
  • Whisk in cocoa powder and granulated sugar until combined.
  • Stir in eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Sprinkle flour and salt over the mixture and fold gently until just combined.

Cooking

  • Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  • Bake for about 25 to 30 minutes.
  • Allow to cool in the pan on a wire rack.
  • Combine creamy peanut butter, softened butter, and confectioners’ sugar in a bowl until smooth.
  • Adjust the consistency with milk and stir in vanilla extract.
  • Evenly spread the peanut butter mixture over the cooled brownies.
  • Heat heavy cream until just simmering, then whisk in semisweet chocolate until smooth.
  • Allow the ganache to cool slightly before pouring it over the peanut butter layer.

Serving

  • Refrigerate the layered brownies for at least an hour to set the ganache.
  • Slice into squares and serve.

Notes

Use high-quality chocolate for richer flavor. Store brownies in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week, or freeze for longer storage.
