Preparation

Cooking

  • Increase the heat to bring the mixture to a boil.
  • Reduce the heat and cover the skillet, allowing it to simmer for 5-10 minutes, or longer, until the apples reach your desired tenderness.
  • In a small bowl, combine the cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of cold water to form a slurry.
  • Pour the slurry into the skillet with the apples, stirring until the sauce thickens.
  • Stir in the apple cider vinegar for an extra layer of flavor.
  • Serve warm and enjoy the brown sugar cinnamon apples as a delicious side or dessert.

Notes

To prevent apples from browning, toss them in lemon juice. Choose firm apples for best results.
