  • 3 pieces ripe avocados Choose avocados that are ripe but firm.
  • 1 piece yellow onion Finely diced for sweetness and crunch.
  • 2 pieces Roma tomatoes Diced for freshness.
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro Chopped for an herbal burst of flavor.
  • 1 piece jalapeño pepper Finely diced, adjust for heat preference.
  • 2 cloves garlic Minced to enhance flavor.
  • 1 piece lime Juice added for tanginess.
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt To taste, enhances all flavors.

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients: ripe avocados, yellow onion, Roma tomatoes, fresh cilantro, jalapeño pepper, garlic, lime, and sea salt.
  • Slice the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a large mixing bowl.
  • Finely dice the yellow onion and add it to the bowl, followed by the diced Roma tomatoes.
  • Chop the cilantro and add it to the mixture, along with the minced garlic.
  • Remove the seeds from the jalapeño, finely dice it, and add to the bowl.

Mixing

  • Using a fork, gently mash the avocados until you reach your desired consistency.
  • Squeeze the juice of one lime over the mixture and sprinkle in the sea salt.
  • Fold all the ingredients together until evenly mixed. Taste and adjust seasoning as necessary.

Serving

  • Transfer the guacamole to a serving bowl, smoothing the top.
  • Garnish with a few cilantro leaves and serve immediately with tortilla chips, fresh veggies, or as a topping.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge and consume within 1-2 days for optimal freshness. To minimize browning, cover tightly with plastic wrap pressed over the surface.
