  • 4 slices Cheddar Cheese Or your choice of cheese.
  • 4 slices Bread Sturdy bread works best.
  • 2 tablespoons Butter For spreading on bread.
  • to taste Salt and Pepper For seasoning.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gather all ingredients on your countertop for easy access.
  • Preheat your skillet over medium heat.
  • Slice the bread to your desired thickness.
  • Shred the brisket if not pre-shredded.
  • Add salt and pepper to taste.

Cooking

  • Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  • Layer shredded brisket on the unbuttered side of one slice.
  • Drizzle BBQ sauce over the brisket.
  • Top with cheese slices.
  • Place another slice of bread on top, buttered side out.
  • Grill sandwich in the hot skillet for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
  • Flip and grill the other side until cheese is melted.

Serving

  • Remove the sandwich from the skillet.
  • Let it rest for a minute before slicing.
  • Serve warm with a side of veggies or salad.

Notes
