  • 1/2 pieces lemon Juiced to prevent browning.

For the glaze

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Place peeled and sliced apples in a large bowl.
  • Pour the juice of 1/2 lemon and 1/4 cup of water, and add 1 tsp of vanilla extract over the apples.
  • Stir to combine the apples with the lemon mixture.
  • Add 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp ginger, 1 tbsp corn starch, and a pinch of salt to the apples, stirring until well combined.

Cooking

  • Pour the apple mixture into a large casserole dish.
  • Top the apple mixture with pieces of cubed butter.
  • Cover the dish with foil and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 30 minutes.
  • Remove the foil and bake uncovered for an additional 10 minutes.

Serving

  • Once baked, remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving.
  • Serve warm and enjoy the delicious flavors.

Notes

For best results, use firm apples, always include lemon juice to prevent browning, and serve with ice cream for a delightful treat.
