Ingredients

For the Dough

  • 2 Cans Refrigerated Biscuits Serve as the fluffy base; easily accessible and adaptable.
  • 1 Cup Granulated Sugar Adds sweetness, caramelizing beautifully during baking.
  • 2 Teaspoons Cinnamon The warm spice that brings comforting aromas and flavors.
  • 2 Cups Diced Apples Provide natural sweetness and texture; feel free to mix types for different tastes.
  • 1/2 Cup Melted Butter Ensures the dough stays moist and rich.
  • 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar Enhances the caramelization process, adding depth to the sweetness.
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract Infuses flavor, making the dish more aromatic and inviting.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a bundt pan liberally with non-stick spray or butter to prevent sticking.
  • In a small bowl, mix granulated sugar and cinnamon until well combined.
  • Peel, core, and dice the apples into small pieces.

Cooking

  • Cut each biscuit into quarters and toss them into a large mixing bowl.
  • Sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the biscuit pieces and add the diced apples; mix gently until evenly coated.
  • Drizzle half of the melted butter evenly over the mixture, and toss again to coat.
  • Layer the biscuit and apple mixture into the prepared bundt pan, pressing down gently. Repeat until all is layered.
  • Pour remaining melted butter over the top and sprinkle the remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture on.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Serving

  • Allow the monkey bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes.
  • Carefully invert the bundt pan onto a serving plate, allowing the bread to release gently.
  • Serve warm, pulling apart pieces to enjoy the gooey center, or cool to room temperature and store for later.

Notes

For added flavor, try using a mix of sweet and tart apples. Ensure you coat the pan well to prevent sticking. Let the bread cool slightly before inverting to reduce mess. If you want to make this gluten-free, use gluten-free biscuit alternatives. Bake it in an air fryer at 320°F (160°C) for about 25-30 minutes for delicious results.
