Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  • In a large bowl, mix together almond flour and baking powder until well combined.

Cooking

  • In the same bowl, add softened butter, maple syrup, and vanilla extract.
  • Stir until you have a dough that holds together. It might be a bit sticky—don’t worry!
  • Scoop out tablespoon-sized portions of the dough and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden.
  • Let them cool for a few minutes on the sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
  • Enjoy them warm or at room temperature with a glass of cold milk!

Notes

Double check the flour: Use blanched almond flour for the best texture. If the dough is too sticky, chill for 30 minutes before baking. Store in an airtight container for freshness. Dough can be frozen; slice into portions before freezing.
