Ingredients
  

For the marinade

  • 4 tbls butter Melted for the marinade.
  • 4 tbls soy sauce Offers a savory, umami kick.
  • 1 tbls honey or brown sugar To balance the saltiness.
  • 1 tbls rice vinegar or fresh lemon juice Adds acidity.
  • 2 cloves garlic Minced for flavor.
  • 1 tbls fresh ginger Grated for warmth.
  • 2 tsp toasted sesame oil Adds a nutty richness.
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper For a hint of heat.

For the salmon

  • 1 lb salmon filet Cut into 1 inch cubes.
  • 1 tbls toasted sesame seeds For garnish.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Slice the fresh salmon into evenly sized cubes about one inch each.
  • Transfer the salmon cubes to a resealable plastic bag or a medium bowl.

Make the Marinade

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter.
  • Add soy sauce, honey or brown sugar, rice vinegar or lemon juice, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and black pepper to the melted butter, mixing well.

Marinate the Salmon

  • Pour half of the marinade over the salmon cubes, reserving the rest for later.
  • Gently toss to coat the salmon evenly and let it marinate for 15 to 20 minutes.

Cook

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Optionally spray the basket with oil.
  • Arrange the marinated salmon in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  • Air fry for 5 to 8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until cooked to your preferred level of doneness.

Serve

  • Remove the salmon bites from the air fryer and place them in a bowl.
  • Drizzle with reserved marinade, toss gently, and serve immediately garnished with sesame seeds.

Notes

Use high-quality salmon, cut evenly for consistent cooking, and don't skip marinating for maximum flavor.
