Preparation

  • Take 2 cups of chilled mashed potatoes and place them in a large mixing bowl.
  • Add 1 cup of shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese along with ½ cup of grated Parmesan cheese.
  • Incorporate 1 beaten egg to bind the mixture together effectively.
  • Add ½ teaspoon each of garlic powder and onion powder, then season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Mix everything together until well combined, forming a cohesive mixture.

Cooking

  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • Take a handful of the potato mixture and shape it into a ball, about the size of a golf ball.
  • Roll each ball in breadcrumbs until fully coated.
  • Place the coated balls into the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they aren't overcrowded.
  • Cook for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown, flipping halfway through for even crispiness.

Serving

  • Once cooked, remove the potato balls from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes.
