  • 8 pieces Old El Paso Flour Tortilla Shells Soft and pillowy, perfect for wrapping up all the delicious fillings.
  • 1/2 cup guacamole Creamy and rich, a great topping to complement the spices.
  • 1/2 cup sour cream Adds a smooth tanginess, balancing the flavors in every bite.

Instructions
 

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, add the olive oil and warm it over medium-high heat until hot.
  • Add the sliced chicken to the skillet and cook for about 3 minutes, until lightly browned and cooked through.
  • Once cooked, remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside on a plate.
  • If necessary, add more oil to the skillet, then add the thinly sliced Vidalia onion, sautéing over medium heat for about 5 to 7 minutes until caramelized and tender.
  • Toss in the red and yellow bell pepper strips, sautéing for about 5 minutes until they begin to soften.
  • Add the cooked chicken back to the skillet with the vegetables.
  • Pour in the water and sprinkle the fajita seasoning mix, cooking for an additional 3 minutes until heated through.
  • While the filling is heating, warm the tortilla shells according to the package instructions.
  • Spoon the chicken and vegetable mixture onto the warm tortillas and serve immediately with your choice of optional toppings.

Notes

For added flavor, consider marinating chicken in lime juice before cooking. Serve with a variety of toppings to cater to different tastes.
