Preparation
- Remove the stems and greens from the radishes and save them for another use, perhaps in a lovely broth or fresh salad.
- Slice off any long roots and rinse the radishes thoroughly.
- Cut the radishes into halves or quarters to expose their vibrant pink notches against the creamy white interior.
Cooking
- In a spacious sauté pan set over medium heat, melt the butter until it begins to bubble softly.
- Gently add the radishes in a single layer, allowing them to sizzle against the buttery surface.
- Cook the radishes, turning them occasionally for an even golden-brown, for about 15 minutes or until they are tender.
- Remove from heat and sprinkle with flaky salt before serving.
Notes
Sautéed Radishes shine when served alongside roasted meats or as a delightful addition to a vegetarian platter. They can be stored in the fridge for about 3 days. Reheat gently to preserve texture.
