Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground beef Choose a mix with some fat for juiciness.
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs Use Italian-style for added flavor.
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese Fresh is always best for flavor!
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley Substitute with basil if desired.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Adjust based on your love for garlic.
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning Homemade blends are fantastic!
  • 1 teaspoon salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper Use white pepper for a milder alternative if preferred.
  • 1 large egg Vegan substitutes include flaxseed or a chia egg.
  • 1/4 cup milk Try almond milk for a dairy-free option.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, egg, and milk. Mix until combined.
  3. Form the mixture into meatballs, roughly the size of a golf ball and lay them gently on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Cooking
  1. Place the meatballs in the oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and fully cooked through.
  2. Serve with spaghetti, in sub rolls, or as appetizing snacks.

Notes

Avoid overmixing the meat mixture to keep meatballs tender. Let them rest for a few minutes after baking for juiciness.
